The Jensen Interceptor succeeded the CV-8 in 1966, reviving a name first used in 1949. With Italian styling and American Chrysler V8 engines, it made quite an impact when it first came out, raising Jensen's profile considerably.
The Italian design, by Touring of Milan, was notable for the large curved rear window, which hinged to give access to the luggage space.
It remained firmly in the top echelon of luxury sports cars until production ended in 1976.
