‘Miss Daisy’ is a 1926 Rolls-Royce 20 HP, dating from a time when Rolls-Royce made the chassis and mechanicals, leaving the owner to choose a body made and fitted by a coachbuilder.
This chassis was one of only three 20 HPs to be bodied by Grosvenor Carriage, Co. Kilburn, built for a Mr Bentall and remaining in family ownership until the mid-1930s. It was then stored for 25 years before being exported to the USA. It was sold at auction in 1988 and repatriated, when substantial engine restoration was carried out. It has had three owners since then. The painting was commissioned by its current owner, who named it Miss Daisy.
The 20 HP is unique in being the only Rolls Royce with horizontal bars on the radiator grille.
