The Jaguar E-Type is a design icon which took the world by storm when introduced in 1961, and it remains just as iconic, over 60 years later. E-Types almost always attract attention!
The aero-dynamic design has its origins in the C-Types and D-Types used in motorsports in the 1950s.
There was a waiting list when the cars were first launched, and it is the early ones that are most sought after. It was available as a Fixed-head Coupe (FHC) as shown here, and a Roadster.
Pictured is a Series I Fixed-head Coupe (FHC) superbly restored car in opalescent grey. I offered the owner the choice of portraying the current tyres fitted, or more historic ones. He chose the latter, so it has Dunlop SPs, which were original equipment at the time it was new.
