Ford Escort 1300E

The 1300E was an upmarket version of the Ford Escort introduced in 1973, which featured a number of additional features including driving lamps, vinyl roof, extra chrome trim and triple coachlines on the exterior and extra instrumentation, polished wooden door-cappings and pile carpet inside.

The car pictured was acquired by the current owner in 2000, when it received a new coat of the original flame orange paint. It is regularly shown at events in the south-east and beyond.

Although I have known the owners for some time, the painting was actually requested for them as a surprise gift by their former neighbours.
